My son rented car 11-26-15 and drove home. We returned the car the same day in our home town. We left it in the parking lot, but there was no drop box for the keys. Now we are told we will have to pay two days and not one. Rather steep charges for a military person. Last time we will use Hertz.
Horrible customer service
My experience with Hertz Local Edition on Farmington has been positive so far. Carl at AAA made a reservation for me when I made the call to have my own car towed. I arrived a bit early to pick up the car and was greeted by Jarod, the branch manager, who was polite, friendly, and professional. He gave me a free upgrade and I drove away in my rental car 10 minutes later - very satisfied. My car is now fixed, so I can drop off the rental after work tomorrow and am quite sure that I will again be treated with respect and courtesy. Very satisfied. Terry (September, 2011)
Pretty terrible customer relations. They didn't bother to answer any questions and the woman that I assume is the manager doesn't like people. The only question I could actually get out to ask was a small-talk joke, after which the lady told me she didn't want to rent to me. The whole situation was pretty hilarious, but unproductive as I really needed a car. Budget right next to the Hertz booth was more than accommodating and had no issues renting me anything I wanted to rent. I didn't have to present my birth certificate or Social Security card, nothing like that. Just an ID and a debit card.
Don't rent from Hertz, they won't rent to you anyway. They'll just waste your time with hopes and dreams of getting a rental. Go next door to Budget.
