Large parking area with immediate trail access to the wilderness study area. Room to turn around in large vehicles or trailers.
Bring a good topo map, a GPS with some of the spectacular sites marked helps. There are no trails or signs here.
Be prepared to walk a lot! Wear hiking gear, bring water, there are no trails. Get there early, after all it is the badlands...
Very cool area with lots of geologic features. No trash can or facilities of any kind. Just a gravel lot with an informative sign of what you can walk you see. No shade cover anywhere so bring sunscreen, water and a sun hat. Avoid this site if it has rained recently as the gravel/dirt road out there and the area itself would be very muddy (clay type dirt).
Nice hiking trail. Beautiful rock formations. It was also clean with no trash around.
