My husband had an appointment today. We saw the P.A. Bautista. He was very informative and answered all our questions. We were quite pleased. He ordered the necessary testing and will see us back next week to review it.
Under no circumstances should any patient go to this office. After spending over 30 minutes on the phone with their billing department to check that they accepted my insurance and talking with their nursing supervisor to ask the doctors experience with motility disorders, I made an appointment to see Dr. Colon and drove an hour one way to see him for a second opinion. When I got to the appointment they again verified my insurance, took my copay, and brought me back. To my surprise a PA came into the exam room and had no knowledge of my case, my imaging, or offered any type of second opinion. I never even saw Dr. Colon once during my visit as they bait and switched me with providers. I paid my copay and left with nothing. I would have let it go there as a waste of time, but I just today (9-27-17) get a call from a very rude woman who says she is from Dr. Colons office telling me that I now owe them out of pocket because suddenly my insurance wouldn't cover the appointment! These people are frauds and are running a very sketchy operation in that office. DO NOT risk going here, I'm probably one of the lucky ones just losing time and a copay.
I had complaints about abdominal pain and all I got was a listen to my lungs also from the PA. I had marked on my questionnaire that I was a smoker. The PA asked me if I knew what the number one cause of death in the united states was? I told him no. He then told me it was lung cancer. After I got home I looked it up and he just plain outright lied to me. Lung cancer was not even in the top 20. How can you trust someone when all they do is lie to you.
They prescribe several expensive procedures that are inconclusive and the results take over a month to receive (hospital doing the procedure said it would only be 1-2days max for results ). Poor communication ! Didn't explain much of what the tests were about and what to expect. Don't think they quit know what they are doing at all.
Not good. I have been going to this Dr. for 4 years I have only seen Dr. Colon 2 times. It's always the P.A. I agree about smoking he tells me everytime to quit smoking. He is my Liver Doctor why would he even bring that up. It has nothing to do with my Liver I had an appointment tomorrow but I am not going back there cancelled it..
